This High Fives / Netball unit is part of an INSET package, for staff, developed by the end of the Comenius Project. The complete unit consists of a DVD which includes:- · A completed written unit including skills diagrams and all French language written with appropriate accents. · An audio section with all phrases completed in English and French. · A video section which shows pupils completing each of the skills sections. · A ‘flash card’ activity pack using the English / French phrases used. · A ‘dominoe’ activity pack using the English / French phrases used. Teaching point (to consider): A demonstration of the warm up, using two pupils, is useful for at least lesson 1 and possibly lesson 2. It is also a good idea to indicate how the ball should be thrown (though not necessarily in a detailed way). The emphasis should be on accurate throwing – running into a space to receive the ball – and accurate catching.
